Can You See Blue Sky?

Dark Stormy Clouds (by Archipoch)

The clouds were so thick today that all I could see outside my window was a blanket of bleak, grey.  The day has rolled on, as they always do, and now the clouds are just starting to reveal patches of blue sky that have always been hiding behind.

Isn’t life sometime like that?  Pain or bleakness seems to cover up the happier times.  The good thing is that it rarely happens to us all at the same time – you might be seeing a blue sky when all I can see is rain.  This very fact means that you might be the very person who can help me walk through the rain to the clearer skies beyond.  You can already see the blue sky.  You can already see the colours in and beyond the cloud.

“Be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud.” (Maya Angelou in “Letter to My Daughter”)

Who can you guide out of the clouds today?

  1. What a lovely positive thought for the day, thank you. I hope I helped my mum out of the clouds today, she suffers from depression and we had a wonderful lunch out ( if you want to see some tasty food pics) with a walk afterwards. The weather was dark, grey, cloudy and cold with bits of snow here and there, but sometimes good company can bring a bit of sunshine into your life, regardless of the weather.

Good company is always like sunshine. I am always amazed how good friends and family can help pull you through the very toughest times just by being there. I am sure your Mum was very grateful and helped her no end.

      Loving your tearoom posts!

Five months ago, I lost my beloved husband of 35yrs. and still…

The sky is clear and blue, the breeze cool and pleasant, the lush green color of nature fills every corner…

I have been given a rainbow to lighten my dark cloud of grief…

    Blessings – Maxi

I can’t begin to imagine how hard that must be for you. I am so pleased you can still see the rainbows despite all you are going through. May God bless you and be close to you.

  3. Great illustration. If it’s cloudy, look the other direction? Or you can just revel in the power of the storm…maybe it was sent to provide an opportunity, to give an experience, to help you get stronger….Be the storm. don’t let it be you?

Certainly going through a storm or cloudy patches is often an opportunity for us to grow or learn something new in our lives, but we often need some help getting to that place. Hope you can grasp the storm next time one comes your way and remember to look out for the opportunity within it.
