Share Your World 2013 – Week 8

I do not believe it!  It is week 8 and I’m actually writing this in week 8.  Unbelievable.  Lucky you.  For once you will not have to wait desperately for my answers.  I know this is what you do, all the time.

Last night I watched one of the recent episodes of Miranda (Series 3) and once again snorted with laughter at her wonderful way of playing with and emphasising certain words.  For example, plunge.  She’s right, it is a great word.  Just try saying it and over-emphasising every single sound.  Pllluuunnnngggge.  There, feels good doesn’t it?  Anyway, she is solely responsible for why today you might hear me doing the same with all manner of unsuspecting words.  Fortunately for you, dear Reader, you won’t have to worry.  Plunge is the only written word I have played with today.

Without further ado, or over-excessive revealing of the signs of madness I have been known to exhibit, here are my answers to the questions of the week.

What is your favourite day of the week?  Saturday.  Sunday is too close to the start of the working week and the rest of the week is spent working.  Oh dear, that sounds a bit dull when I put it like that!  Saturday is still my favourite – it is full of the promise of fun times to come.  Friday is a pretty good day as it is even more full of that promise of a good weekend.

Have you ever had a reoccurring dream? What was it?  No, thankfully.  The only things that often come up in my dreams are being chased, snakes (nearly always being bitten or watching someone I love being bitten (urgh, I feel ill thinking about it), sinking sand (been terrified of it since watching Lawrence of Arabia), betrayal and missing/being late for an exam or a performance of a show.  The main reason for the weirdest dreams is always eating too late or eating cheese!

Have you ever been drunk?  Yes.  Not recently though (and very happy with that, thank you very much), and you do not want to know the details of the main last event.  Let’s just say more than a couple of bottles (the small ones) of Smirnoff Ice will not feel so good on the tongue the following morning.

Out of your five senses (touch, taste, sight, smell, hearing) which is your favorite?  This is tough.  I love music and singing so I have to choose hearing.  Ah, but then I love to watch the stars and the birds and the sea so sight.  Oh no, but I love to enjoy good food and that takes both taste and smell.  And touch is all about warmth and connection….I don’t have a favourite.  I love them all and especially the way they all work so well together to create such wonderful experiences.  The human body is so unbelievably clever!

Thanks again to Cee for the excellent prompts.
